The program will prepare students to take the exam for Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and State license. Externships will be arranged by the Delta College Phlebotomy Program Coordinator.
The program includes 84 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour clinical phlebotomy externship.
100% Attendance is required.
Bureau of Labor Statistics (https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/phlebotomists.htm). Employment of phlebotomists is projected to grow 23 percent from 2018 to 2028.
Phlebotomy Technician Curriculum:
- Program: Saturdays in-person, total of 84 hours of classroom and hands-on learning
- Externship Placement: 40 hours Note: Students must pass background/drug screening and have proof of COVID-19 Vaccination card to be placed in externship.
- 100% Attendance
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent

- Immunization health record and proof of COVID-19 vaccine record
- Drug and background check

- Click on "ENROLL YOURSELF" then the system will prompt you to set up an account and pay with a debit/credit card. Full payment of $2,750.00 is required. Be sure to notify your bank before making the payment to prevent payment from declining.

- $65 CPR BLS Certification by American Heart Association

- $125 NHA Certification Exam - Student must "PASS" the NHA exam in-order to move forward to externship.

Online registration: Instructions for Payment Plan Agreement
1. *Set up a WTI account by clicking on "ENROLL YOURSELF." Complete your information and exit out.
2. Email Shirley at shirley.chapin@deltacollege.edu to request a payment plan. *Shirley will email you with a deadline and instructions on how to pay the $600 initial invoice.
3. Once payment is received and posted to your account: you will be emailed the Payment Plan Agreement so you can sign electronically through DocuSign.
We accept Visa, Debit Card, Mastercard & Discover.
The Payment Plan Agreement is a schedule of 4 monthly payments of $537.50 (Balance due). The first payment will be due by the 30th of the month class starts, and the final payment will be due by the 30th of the last month of class.
NOTES: Whether paying in full or making payments, $300 is NON-REFUNDABLE if a student attends the first day of class; funds are used to purchase course training supplies and to pay for administrative fees. NO refunds after the first day of class.
This program is NOT-for-credit and NOT eligible for financial aid assistance.

Program Cancellation Policy:
Workforce Training Institute may cancel a course at any time prior to the start date due to low enrollment. In the event of this occurring, a full refund will be issued. NOTE: Register Early! If we do not have minimum enrollment 48 hours before class starts, class make be cancelled.
Refund or Transfer Policy:
To request a refund or to transfer, students must submit by emailing rosalva.ibarra@deltacollege.edu. Refund or Transfer request approvals may only be made for unusual or mitigating circumstances. Examples of mitigating circumstances include but are not limited to: Death in the family, serious illness, or other reasons which are beyond the student's control. Failing to make academic progress will not constitute eligibility to transfer to a new course or to any type of refund.
If a student withdraws before the 1st day of class, a $25 Administrative and processing fee will be charged.
